COLOR OF CHANGE REACTS TO 2024 ELECTION RESULTS
National – Color Of Change, the nation’s largest racial justice organization, issues the following statement to 2024 election results from Kyle Bibby, Chief of Campaigns & Programs:
“The results from Tuesday night have left many in our community feeling hopeless and defeated. Right-wing propaganda and tactics of fear have infiltrated our society, enabling voter suppression and manipulation of the electoral process. We’ve already seen the damaging effects, from destructive acts like burning ballot boxes to the spread of misinformation by powerful figures. With Donald Trump and like-minded individuals at the helm, we face a resurgence of racism and oppression that echoes our nation’s darkest chapters.
In the face of such oppression, Color Of Change wants to remind our members that our strength lies in our solidarity and community. We must invest and share with one another locally and support systems that help empower us to withstand aggression from a conservative regime. True power comes from our ability to lean on one another, sharing resources, knowledge, and support as we confront these rising challenges together.
This period is not about accepting defeat but about mobilizing to combat fascism and oppression. Engage with local progressive grassroots organizations that are actively working to protect our rights. Remain proactive and collaborate with groups committed to justice and equity. This is our chance not just to endure, but to fight back to secure a better future for generations to come.
Over the next four years, Color of Change will actively inform, uplift and create with the Black community about the issues we’ll face ahead. Our mission is to collaborate and empower by providing essential tools and resources to thrive, even in challenging circumstances. We are dedicated to this commitment until justice is real.”
