COLOR OF CHANGE AFFIRMS SUPPORT OF ACTBLUE AFTER TRUMP ADMINISTRATION ANNOUNCES INVESTIGATION OF THE FUNDRAISING PLATFORM
NATIONAL – The Trump administration released a presidential memorandum to investigate ActBlue, a fundraising platform used to send donations to nonprofit organizations, on baseless allegations of improperly influencing American elections.
In response, Portia Allen-Kyle, Interim Executive Director of Color Of Change, issued the following statement:
“The Trump administration’s attacks on ActBlue are attacks on people-powered movements and small-dollar donors who refuse to accept its neo-segregationist agenda aiming to roll back civil rights progress. Despite these relentless attempts to undermine our work, we will stand with our partners and remain committed to organizing, mobilizing, and building a more human, less hostile world for Black people and all people.”
